About the Author
Daniela Fritter is a career physical chemist who works in the consumer products industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. She was drawn to creative non-fiction and narrative poetry later in life and likes to write about emotionally complex themes. Her first book, Downsizing Mom, is a memoir about coming to the realization that her mother is on the autistic spectrum and her reflections on how this has shaped their relationship. Daniela also writes narrative poetry and other short pieces about her mother’s progression into dementia; two of her pieces have been published in the Peregrine literary journal.
